The Role: The Driving Force Behind the Packaging Process

As a Packaging Operator at Bakkerij Braas, you are responsible for setting up, monitoring and adjusting our packaging lines. You ensure that products are packaged correctly, efficiently and in accordance with the required quality standards.

Working with modern packaging machinery and automated systems, you play a key role in maintaining product quality, food safety and delivery reliability. Thanks to your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you are able to identify and resolve deviations before they impact operations.

What Will You Do?

• Set up, start up and change over packaging lines.

• Monitor and adjust packaging processes and machine settings.

• Check packaging quality, coding, labelling and product specifications.

• Perform quality checks and record findings.

• Identify, analyse and resolve packaging process deviations.

• Carry out first-line maintenance and basic technical tasks.

• Resolve minor equipment issues and involve Technical Services when more complex support is required.

• Monitor the availability of packaging materials and production resources.

• Record production data, quality measurements and operational deviations.

• Work in accordance with HACCP, IFS, quality, safety and company procedures.

• Actively contribute to process improvements and waste reduction initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with colleagues from Production, Quality Assurance, Production Planning and Technical Services to ensure smooth daily operations.

What We Are Looking For

• MBO working and thinking level, preferably in a technical or production-related field.

• Experience as an Operator within a production environment.

• Experience within the food industry is preferred.

• Technical aptitude and affinity with automated packaging lines.

• Strong attention to quality, accuracy and food safety.

• The ability to independently analyse and resolve operational issues and deviations.

• A proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership for your production line and results.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Good command of the Dutch language.

• Willingness to work in a shift-based operation.
